Camera Permission

LumaSynth may request access to your device's camera, but only for very specific purposes:

• Live Preview Only: The camera is used solely to provide a real-time visual preview on your screen.
• No Recording or Storage: It do not capture, record, or save photos or videos.
• Local Processing: The camera feed is analyzed only on your device to measure light intensity and translate it into synthesizer controls.
• No Data Sharing: At no point is camera data sent to our servers or any third party. Everything happens locally, ensuring your visual information remains private.

This means you can enjoy LumaSynth's interactive features without worrying about your camera data being accessed or stored elsewhere.

Microphone Permission

Access to the microphone is limited and strictly controlled:

• Manual Recording Only: The microphone is used only when you press the "REC" button to save your synthesizer performance as an audio file.
• No Background Listening: LumaSynth does not listen to, record, or monitor conversations at any time.
• Local Storage: All recordings are saved locally on your device, and no audio is uploaded or shared externally without your consent.

This ensures complete peace of mind while using the recording features.

Data & Storage

We respect your data and your device's storage:

• Local Processing: All analysis, visuals, and sound generation happen entirely on your device.
• Offline Operation: Generated content, including audio files and visual outputs, is stored only on your device.
• No Data Collection: We do not have access to your files, and no personal data is transmitted to external servers.

• Audio Engine: Low-latency audio synthesis powered by Android AudioTrack API for real-time sound generation
• Camera Processing: CameraX API for camera preview and light intensity analysis using luminosity calculations
• Sound Synthesis: Custom DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms generate waveforms based on camera input, including sine, square, sawtooth, and triangle waves with ADSR envelope control
• Recording: WAV file encoding using Android MediaRecorder and PCM audio format for high-quality audio capture
• Storage: Files are saved locally to device storage using MediaStore API with proper permissions management

All processing happens entirely on-device with no cloud dependencies, ensuring privacy and offline functionality.
